Liberty is a medium to large, red apple with a very crisp and juicy flavor. A very productive Apple tree. Very good disease resistance to mildew, cedar apple rust, fire blight as well as apple scab. Both a good keeping and eating / cooking apple. Ripens in early September, it does better with a pollinizer like Red Delicious, Cortland or McIntosh. Liberty has a very good sweet / tart taste, and is an introduction from Cornell University.
