The Jujube is an ancient and exotic fruit that you can grow in your home garden. The 'Lang' Jujube will measure about 1 3/4 inches in length and has a shape similar to a pear. Tasting like an apple when fully ripened, it exhibits a deep, dark mahogany color. The 'Lang' Jujube tree seems to grow more upright than it's cousin 'Li', and seems to be a bit smaller than the 'Li', but just as flavorful and delicious. Fruits ripen from about the second or third week in September here in North Carolina.
