FUN FACTS

The unique protein-digesting enzymes, papain and chymopapain have been shown to help lower inflammation and to improve healing from burns in addition to helping in digestion of proteins. The Papaya, commonly (although incorrectly) referred to as a Papaya Tree, is more correctly thought of as a large herb that can grow over six feet in a single year. Growing in plantations as well as in the wilds of Tropical spots like Belize and southern Mexico, the Papaya has been a staple of that regions diet for centuries. Although only recently finding an audience in the United States, the Papaya offers a healthy source of vitamin C as well as Beta-Carotene. Ours are grown in containers and we strongly suggest you follow that formula, as well as being prepared to keep from cold temperatures.
