A wonderful, four inch wide raspberry-red self with a bright red bands and a green throat. Sculpted petals have widely ruffled edges and narrow, yellow watermarks extending slightly up the midribs. Its semi evergreen foliage remains attractive and healthy throughout the growing season. It makes wonderful cut flowers and is a a very hardy daylily that requires little care once it is established. Gordon Biggs also shows excellent tolerance to hot and dry weather, often a description for North Carolina summer weather.
